Thanks! Art Kruger

Thomas remembers how Art Kruger gave him 2nd chance to be selected on the USA Team back in 1980. If not for Art, Thomas would not have been involved with Deaflympics heavily the past 28 years.

Yes, Art Kruger was one of the greatest character I had ever met. In 1970s (I forgot exactly when) I had a spraint ankle and my prospect for the International Games for the Deaf (400 meter and relay) was gone. I was saddened by it. On my graduation from MSSD, he sent me a congratulations card with a very nice note, telling me not to allow it stop me from my intellectual pursuit. He did not forget me!

Wow, it is real small world for us to meet again perhaps. I was trying out for Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, 200 yd dash at Deaf Olypmic Try Out in Fulton, Mo. I did try Hammer Throw few times before they announced trail time. Do we remember us each other there?

Of course we should honor Art Kruger big time. He deserve something big. Too bad for me to leave early.
